The Sons of the American Revolution, New Bern Chapter partnered with the Richard Dobbs Spaight Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution to celebrate Constitution Week at the gates of Tryon Palace New Bern, NC. This annual event was officially instituted by President Eisenhower in 1958 and on the 17 of September 2015 bells were rung at 4:00pm in celebration on the signing of the Constitution. Pictured are Rebecca Preece (center) DAR Committee Chairman for the event, Caroline Paul fifer (left) DAR member and Rolf Maris drummer, New Bern SAR member.  Other New Bern SAR Chapter members also attended the event.  The Colors were presented by Cherry Point, Detachment, Marine Corps League.
