On the morning of Thursday, 22 September, members of the New Bern Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, and the Richard Dobbs Spaight Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, met at the Havelock Library, to meet with approx. 15 pre-school children.  This week is “Constitution Week, so the purpose of the get together was for Story Time, Show and Time, and to answer questions.  Tammy Gillette (a DAR member) read a short, age appropriate, story regarding our Constitution, and then shared and explained a number of various pieces of Colonial attire and several other period specific items. Afterwards, Bob Ainsley and Gary Gillette (SAR members), explained their Revolutionary uniforms and answered numinous questions.  Fun was had by everyone, especially Tammy Gary and Bob.
