Chartered 21 April 1928 in Asheville, North Carolina, it later became the Blue Ridge Chapter and is the oldest active Chapter in Western North Carolina.

On March 18, 2025, at the Brevard Academy in Brevard, North Carolina, the Blue Ridge Chapter Color Guard gave the 4th-grade class an educational program on the flags of the Revolution, uniforms, and other Revolutionary War history items.

The presentation was spoken by Blue Ridge Color Guard members Larry Chapman (Continental uniform), Craig Issacson (Continental uniform), and Garry Linton (Militia uniform). It captivated the 49 students and 4 teachers who were in attendance. Blue Ridge Chapter Education Committee member Jack Tate was also in attendance.

It is easy to see that the Blue Ridge Chapter is an active, energetic, busy Chapter that is always looking for new members to help us reach our challenging goals for the recognition of the sacrifices our Patriots made for us to enjoy all freedoms we have today.
