Blue Ridge Color Guard at Patrick Henry Program
Chartered 21 April 1928 in Asheville, North Carolina, it later became the Blue Ridge Chapter and is the oldest active Chapter in Western North Carolina.
On March 22, 2025, at the Historic Hendersonville Courthhouse in Hendersonville, North Carolina, Blue Ridge Chapter Color Guard members Craig Issacson, Garry Linton, and Ken Weglarz provided speaking parts in the reenactment of Patrick Henry’s “Give me liberty or give me death” speech. Among the about 70 people at this event were Blue Ridge Chapter members Gary King, Jack Tate, and Bob Wood.
It is easy to see that the Blue Ridge Chapter is an active, energetic, busy Chapter that is always looking for new members to help us reach our challenging goals for the recognition of the sacrifices our Patriots made for us to enjoy all the freedoms we have today.
