Chartered 21 April 1928 in Asheville, North Carolina, later became the Blue Ridge Chapter and is the oldest active Chapter in Western North Carolina.

On June 22, 2024, in Lincolnton, North Carolina, Blue Ridge Chapter Color Guard members Garry Linton and Ken Weglarz were among the other Color Guard members who presented colors and wreaths at the 244th Anniversary Commemoration Service for the Battle of Ramsour’s Mill. Among the large turnout (about 100 people) for this event were many SAR and DAR members. After the commemoration service, participants were treated to an encampment tour, battle reenactment, and a historical cabin tour.

It is easy to see that the Blue Ridge Chapter is an active, energetic, busy Chapter that is always looking for new members to help us reach our challenging goals for the recognition of the sacrifices our Patriots made for us to enjoy all the freedoms we have today.
