Nash Central High School junior, Maddie Hart, attended the March 13th meeting of the Halifax Resolves Chapter to read her Knight Essay on Joseph Warren, “Activist Without Acclaim.”  Chapter President Bill Riggan visited Maddie at her school to deliver her medal for winning the chapter portion of the contest and presented her with a $150 check as well.

While there, President Riggan announced that Maddie’s essay had placed third in the North Carolina SAR competition.
