During Veterans’ Day weekend, while participating at the Southern Campaign 1780’s encampment and reenactment in Kershaw, South Carolina, Chapter President Roy Lightfoot took the time to visit the graves of the twelve unknown soldiers who were recently reinterred in Camden, South Carolina. While there, he placed Betsy Ross flags on each of them. He also went to the actual Battle of Camden site.
During the rainy and cold weekend, the Battle of Stono Ferry and Battle of Camden were presented on Saturday and Sunday respectively to crowds who braved the weather. President Lightfoot joined with members of the Rowan Militia / Davidson’s Fort unit from Old Fort, North Carolina and the South Carolina Rangers.
