Eagle Scout Recognition

Sarina Horner, the General Francis Nash Chapter nominee for the Arthur M. and Berdena King Eagle Scout Award was announced as the state winner on February 3. The competition is conducted in three phases: the local Chapter level, State Society level, and National level. Each Eagle Scout must complete an application form, a four-generation ancestor chart, and a 500-word patriotic-themed essay. After winning the North Carolina contest, Sarina placed in the top three of the National Contest, earning an award of $4,000!
Sarina is the first female Eagle Scout to be awarded the Certificate of Merit.
