Blue Ridge Chapter Presentation to TC Henderson Elementary
Chartered 21 April 1928 in Asheville, North Carolina, later became the Blue Ridge Chapter and is the oldest active Chapter in Western North Carolina.
On Tuesday, June 6, 2023, NCSSAR Blue Ridge Chapter member Ron Chapman presented a program at the TC Henderson Elementary in Henderson County North Carolina. Attending this special one-hour presentation were 43 very attentive 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. Compatriot Chapman appeared in a militia uniform and discussed the clothing of the Colonial Period, and then gave an overview of the Revolution in the southern colonies.
At the conclusion of the program the students who had been studying the Revolution, the Colonial Period, and Native Americans, were captivated by Compatriot Chapman’s splendid oratory and asked many excellent questions. It appears this may turn into an annual event as an invitation to return next year has already been extended.

It is easy to see that the Blue Ridge Chapter is an active, energetic, busy Chapter that is always looking for new members to help us reach our challenging goals for the recognition of the sacrifices our Patriots made for us to enjoy the freedoms we have today.
