First North Carolina Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. Chartered 21 April 1928 in Asheville, North Carolina, and later became the Blue Ridge Chapter.

The Regional JROTC Competition was held at Mountain Heritage High School in Burnsville, North Carolina on March 22, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. SAR Blue Ridge Chapter Color Guard was on hand for the recognition of the JROTC students. The event was held in the high school gym with about 50 people in attendance.

Blue Ridge Chapter Color Guard members who performed in this event were Larry Chapman (Continental uniform), Steve Greene (Militia Uniform), Craig Isaacson (Militia uniform), Garry Linton (Militia uniform), Rev. Tom Rightmyer (Militia uniform), and Ken Welgarz (Militia uniform).

It is easy to see that the Blue Ridge Chapter is an active, energetic, busy chapter that is always looking for new members to help us reach our challenging goals for the recognition of the sacrifices our Patriots made for us to enjoy all the freedoms we have today.
