First North Carolina Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. Chartered 21 April 1928, in Asheville, North Carolina, and later became the Blue Ridge Chapter.

On March 15, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. the Commemoration of the Battle of Guilford Court House was held at the Guilford Court House National Military Park in Greensboro, North Carolina. The National Park Service Ranger provided a brief introduction. This was followed by brief speeches from several SAR representatives and several wreath presentations by members of the SAR, DAR, and CAR.

In sunny and cool temperatures of 30 to 40 degrees, this event was attended by about 150 spectators and 40 Color Guard members. Among those 40 Color Guard members were Blue Ridge Color Guard members Lance Dickinson in his Continental uniform, Craig Isaacson in his Continental uniform, and Garry Linton in his Militia uniform.

It is easy to see that the Blue Ridge Chapter is an active, energetic, busy chapter that is always looking for new members to help us reach our challenging goals for the recognition of the sacrifices our Patriots made for us to enjoy all the freedoms we have today.
