Members of the New Bern Chapter, NC SAR attended and participated in the St. John’s Lodge No. 3 Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons 250th Anniversary Celebration Plaque Dedication on Saturday, 10 December at the Masonic Lodge, New Bern, NC. New Bern Chapter members in attendance shown in the picture with Brothers of the St. John’s Lodge No. 3 are: Bob Mull (Chaplain of St. John’s Lodge & New Bern Chapter member), James Warren (Past Master, St. John’s Lodge & New Bern Chapter member), Bob Ainsley, Gary Gillette, Jim Becker (Masonic Brother & New Bern Chapter member), Ken McCotter (Masonic Brother & New Bern Chapter member) and Rick Layton. Many American Revolutionary War Patriots were Free, Ancient and Accepted Masonic members and were on the forefront of gaining our nation’s independence.
