On Saturday, 2 April 2022, 1100-1200, at the Cedar Grove Cemetery, in New Bern NC, the New Bern Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, marked the graves of Patriot Giles Hollister (P-183731) and his great-great-great grandson and New Bern Chapter charter member, Charles Slover Hollister, Jr. (SAR # 47258). The grave marking ceremony was conducted as a “Partners in Patriotism” event, with the Richard Dobbs Spaight Chapter – Daughters of the American Revolution. Members of the NC Society Children of the American Revolution and the Earl of Craven Chapter – Questers Society also participated in the ceremony. Also in attendance, as “special guests”, were: Jenny Hollister Carter, the Great-great-great granddaughter of Giles Hollister and cousin of Charles Slover Hollister, Jr.; and Margaret Bagg, a cousin of Charles Slover Hollister, Jr.
