The Halifax Resolves Chapter of the North Carolina Sons of the American Revolution are sponsoring a poster contest, the topic of which is an event in the Revolutionary War.  Ken Wilson, President of the Halifax Resolves Chapter spoke to four 4^th grade and four 5^th grade classes at Manning ES about the contest and answered questions not only about the contest, but also about his Colonial clothing.  The winner of the chapter level contest will be named at the chapter’s March 12^th meeting. The winner will receive a winner’s certificate and a check for $100.00. The winner’s poster will be forwarded to the state level contest to be held on May 14^th at Alamance Battleground.
