On 3 December, Gary Gillette (NCSAR New Bern Chapter) delivered 9 large bags of snacks for the Canteen, at the NC Veterans Home in Kinston, NC. Their Canteen includes various “snack items”, which residents can purchase for .25 cents each. It provides the residents an opportunity to periodically enjoy things they can’t normally get on the standard menu. This was the 3rd of three deliveries made to the VA Home in the past couple of months.
