Halifax Resolves SAR chapter member Ken Wilson was invited to speak to the Roanoke Rapids High School AP History class by RRHS Social Studies Chairman Mr. Edward Gardner.  Two presentations were made.

The first presentation covered the SAR George S. & Stella M. Knight essay contest. Ken outlined the requirements and expectations for the essays.

The second presentation covered the Battle of Kings Mountain. Events leading up to the battle, the battle itself and the effect of the results of the battle on the Patriots and British moral.
