On April 22, the New Bern Chapter of the NC Sons of the American Revolution (NC SAR)  presented the Outstanding JROTC Cadet Award to Cadet David Ruehr at an awards ceremony at the New Bern High School NJROTC unit.  This award is presented annually to a deserving cadet who endeavors to foster the principle of “citizen-soldier” exemplified by the Minutemen and also exhibits outstanding leadership qualities, military bearing and general excellence.
