On December 22 against the backdrop of Tryon Palace, the New Bern Chapter inducted a father and son into the Sons of the American Revolution – Stephen and Whit Nuckolls.  Their Patriot Ancestor is Lewis Hale who served in the Virginia militia and fought at the battles of King’s Mountain and Guilford Courthouse.  Pictured from left to right:  Whit Nuckolls, Stephen Nuckolls, and Jay DeLoach, New Bern Chapter President.
