On the morning of February 1, New Bern Chapter Vice President Bob Ainsley, participated in the Color Guard for the Battle of Cowan’s Ford Commemoration in Huntersville, NC. Later that afternoon, at the NC SAR Winter Board of Managers meeting, NC SAR State President Jim Becker (right), presented a check for $100 to Bob Ainsley (left) for acquiring a Revolutionary War uniform and participating in the Color Guard for the first time under a new initiative to rebuild the North Carolina Society Color Guard.
