The New Bern Chapter of the NC Sons of the American Revolution presented a SAR Eagle Scout Recognition Certificate to Paul McElearney, Jr. of Troop 584 at his Eagle Court of Honor held at the VFW Post 2514 Hall on Saturday, December 14. Troop 584 has produced eight Eagle Scouts this year under the leadership of Scoutmasters Paul McElearney, Sr. and Kevin Helmick who is also a SAR Compatriot in the New Bern Chapter.
