Ms. Charmin Pearson recently invited Halifax Resolves SAR member Ken Wilson to speak to the American History class about the Battle of Cowpens.  This battle was the first British Army defeat by Continental Army troops in the Southern Campaign. Patriot BG Daniel Morgan decisively defeated British troops under the command of Lt. Col. Banastre Tarleton with Tarleton losing 86% of his forces.  This pivotal battle is still studied at the U.S. Military Academy.
