Boy Scout Troop 144 in Roanoke Rapids along with the Halifax Resolves Chapter NC SAR conducted a Flag Day Flag Retirement ceremony at Veterans Parke in Roanoke.  Over 350 flags were retired with honor.  Attendees included newly elected Elizabeth Monforte-Ashe DAR Regent Mrs. Brenda Davis, the SAR, public officials, scouts and scout parents.  The Roanoke Rapids Fire Department supervised the event.
