On May 9th, the New Bern SAR Chapter presented the Bronze Outstanding JROTC Cadet Medal to Cadet Zachariah Smith with the West Craven High School Air Force JROTC. The medal endeavors to foster the principle of “citizen-soldier” exemplified by the Minutemen and recipients are selected based on their leadership qualities, military bearing and general excellence.
