Gary Gillette, NCSSAR New Bern Chapter Registrar and also the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) New Bern Chapter 886 President, attended a quarterly North Carolina VVA meeting on February 16th. Each year at this time, the “Linwood Lang” award, is presented by the NC VVA, to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding, exemplary service to veterans and their community. This year the award was presented to Laura Rogers, who is a Daughter’s of the American Revolution (DAR) “Member at Large” and also a member of the NC DAR Veterans Board. Congratulations to Laura and the DAR, for their continued support of our Veterans!
