On February 16, New Bern Chapter President Jay DeLoach gave a presentation on “The American Revolution – A Maritime Conflict” to a packed room of the monthly NCSSAR Raleigh Chapter meeting at the Red, Hot, and Blue Restaurant. The attendees offered many positive comments on how they now had a better understanding of the significant role and strategic impact of the maritime component of this conflict – revolution that evolved into another world war that helped us win our independence from England, the number one maritime power in the world at that time.
