Avery Boone, a 5^th grade student at Halifax Academy, placed 3^rd in the NC Sons of the American Revolution poster contest.  The topic of this year’s contest was a Revolutionary War event.  Avery chose the Edenton Tea Party as his topic. For his efforts, he received a check for $75.00 as did his teacher, Ms. Lindy Rogerson.  Halifax Resolves Chapter member Ken Wilson made the presentation on behalf of the North Carolina Society.
