The Optimist Club of Roanoke Rapids recently invited Halifax Resolves Chapter President Ken Wilson to be their guest speaker at one of their meetings. Wilson presented a program that provided an overview of the origins of the SAR as well as the society’s historical, patriotic and educational goals and the desire to keep alive the story of their ancestor’s patriotism and courage in the belief that it would inspire and sustain succeeding generations.
