The Chaloner Middle School Social Studies teacher recently invited Ken Wilson of the Halifax Resolves SAR chapter to present a program to their students. The presentation was two-fold.  First the students were told about the SAR Brochure contest based on the Founding Documents of the United States.  Secondly, Wilson presented a program entitled “From Mecklenburg to Halifax” that covered the period in North Carolina history that led to the state declaring independence from Great Britain.  A total of approximately 300 students attended the three presentations.
