The Halifax Resolves Chapter NC SAR and BSA Troop 144 held a joint flag retirement ceremony June 11^th at Veterans Park in Roanoke Rapids.  Troop 144 wrote and conducted the ceremony with the support and assistance of the Halifax Resolves Chapter.  Chapter President Ken Wilson performed the duties of Burn Master and Chaplain Rev. Duncan Jones presented the Invocation and Benediction.  Approximately 140 flags were retired and the ashes buried by the Burn Master in an unmarked grave.
