Chaloner MS Student Wins NC SAR Brochure Contest
Chaloner MS 8th grade student Riley W. Mills placed first in the North Carolina Sons of the American Revolution Brochure Contest. Riley designed a tri-fold brochure pertaining to the Bill of Rights. For this accomplishment he received a check for $200 and his Social Studies teacher Mrs. Peggy Braswell received a check for $200. Riley’s entry has now been forwarded to the national level and the winner will be announced at the SAR National Congress being held in Boston, MA in early July. The awards were made by Halifax Resolves Chapter President Ken Wilson.
