The Halifax Resolves Chapter of the North Carolina Sons of the American Revolution recently awarded the SAR Law Enforcement Commendation Medal to Lt. Eric D. Johnson of the Halifax Co. Sheriff’s Department. Lt. Johnson was recognized for his “outstanding achievement and dedication to the maintenance of law and order.” Having over 20 years in law enforcement, Johnson has proven to be a great asset to the Halifax Co. Sheriff’s office and is currently serving as a squad supervisor. This award may only be given to an individual once in a lifetime and is given to recognize the law enforcement officer who stands out from his peers.
