The Lower Cape Fear Chapter, SAR, recognized c/Capt Samantha Jones, a junior at E. A. Laney High School, as the chapter’s Enhanced JROTC cadet during a luncheon meeting at Elizabeth’s Restaurant on 19 March 2016.  During the presentation, Cadet Jones read her essay, “How JROTC had made me a better citizen.”  Cadet Jones will compete for the North Carolina Enhanced JROTC award competition in April 2016.
