Madelyn Wommack, a 5^th grade student at Halifax Academy, was the winner of the Halifax Resolves SAR chapter’s annual Americanism Poster contest.  The topic this year was the Battle of Moore’s Creek Bridge.  For her efforts, Madelyn received a chapter level winners certificate and a check for $100.00.  Her poster will now advance to the state level competition that will be conducted May 14^th at Alamance Battleground.  Madelyn’s teacher, Mrs. Lindy Rogerson received a Certificate of Appreciation and a check for $50.00.  Halifax Resolves Chapter President Ken Wilson made the presentations.
