Foothills District Meets in Kings Mountain
The Foothills District of the North Carolina SAR met in Kings Mountain for a district informational and chapter officer training session. “We had twelve chapter representatives attend on behalf of the chapters in our district,” said Foothills District Vice President Doyle Campbell. “State president Tim Berly was in attendance and provided insight into what chapters and districts across the State are doing and how they are conducting events and chapter business.”
President Berly also provided a training session on the year-end Reconciliation Report and how chapter officers can accurately complete this important form in a timely manner. Representatives from the Battle of Kings Mountain, Catawba Valley, Salisbury, Lt. Col. John Phifer and Mecklenburg chapters were in attendance.
Chapter officers exchanged ideas about events and genealogy training workshops as well as sharing experiences with what “works and doesn’t work” with chapter memberships and community events.
