Members of the Mecklenburg chapter attended the annual Carolinas Freedom Foundation Freedom Breakfast this morning, held at the Hilton Center City in Charlotte.

“I look forward to this breakfast every year,” said past chapter president Ray Maxson. “As a Veteran myself, it makes me proud to attend and honor other Veterans with their service to this great nation.”

Approximately 800 community members, local politicians, military members and Veterans gathered for the program. Governor McCrory addressed the group to talk about Veterans programs that the State of North Carolina has introduced.

Members from the Mecklenburg chapter in attendance included Jim Wood, Tim Berly, Ray Maxson, Jay Joyce, John Allen, Tom Phlegar, Guy Chamberlain, Jim Prosser, Matthew Joyner and Tony Zeiss.
