The annual commemoration of the signing of the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence was held today at Trade and Tryon Streets in the heart of Uptown Charlotte. Chapter members Dave Alls, Chad Lloyd, NCSSAR State President Tim Berly and Mecklenburg chapter president Jay Joyce participated in the Combined Color Guard, along with NSSAR South Atlantic Vice President General Mark Anthony, John Misenheimer, president of the LTC John Phifer chapter, and Jim Tatum, Color Guard member from the Salisbury chapter.
