The Silas McDowell chapter hosted a Patriot grave marking ceremony for two brothers who served in the Revolutionary War today at the Sugarfork Baptist Church cemetery in Franklin, NC. Patriots David and Jesse Fulton served in the Fourth South Carolina Regiment and are buried beside each other. Members of the Silas McDowell Chapter were joined by members of the Battle of Sugartown Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution for the service. Six other SAR and DAR chapters from Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina joined in the ceremony. Members of the Franklin American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars presented the colors.
