This year’s commemoration of Alamance County’s three 1781 Revolutionary Battles: Pyle’s Defeat, Clapp’s Mill and Lindley’s Mill, and the Pre-Revolutionary May 16, 1771 Battle of Alamance have been canceled. 

Poster and Brochure Contest
Still Occurring!

The NC State poster contest judging normally held at the Patriots’ Day event will be impacted by this cancelation.

Steve Van Pelt, State Contest Chair, requests that posters and brochures be sent by electronic submission to his email as follows (please do not have students name or school visible for the judges):

Submissions be sent to Steve Van Pelt from a picture taken by the local chapter officer or other electronic means.

Judges from several different chapters will be asked to serve.  Those willing to serve will be sent the entries electronically and asked to judge.  A first place winner for the state will be chosen in each category from the entries received by the deadline date.
