The COL Alexander Erwin Chapter in Morganton invites all SAR, DAR and other historical organizations to participate in a historical reenactment of the Catawba River Crossing at Greenlee Ford for the OVTA in Morganton today from 11:00am to 12pm at the Judges Riverside BBQ Restaurant, 128 Greenlee Ford Rd, Morganton, NC 28655.

Duke Power will close the above river Dam to let the participating Militia men cross the river at the ford. So they are on a non-flexible schedule.

The Restaurant is located near the ford the Over Mountain Men used to go to Kings Mountain. We will post Colors. The names of the Fallen from Kings Mountain will be read. Wreaths from several SAR Chapters and DAR Chapters in attendance will be honored.

Parking will be available near a soccer field by the Restaurant. The restaurant will be providing a hot meal for a reasonable charge after the program. This is always weather permitting.
