The 3 Patriots are: 1) Jane Pattillo Lanier Poindexter (1760-1826; and her two husbands; 2) Col. Robert Lanier (1746-1785); and 3) Capt. Francis Poindexter 1764-1803). This small family cemetery is located directly across the road from the newly acquired 248 acre property what will some day soon become the Shallow Ford State Historic Site.
