First North Carolina Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. Chartered 21 April 1928 in Asheville, North Carolina, and later became the Blue Ridge Chapter.

Many thanks to Ms. Walsh of the Dana Elementary School for allowing our Blue Ridge Chapter Color Guard to be a part of the celebration regarding the installation of the Constitution of the United States which occurred on September 17, 1787. We hope your students will have a better understanding of the history that happened back then that established the greatest nation we all now are a part of.

The above are the Blue Ridge Chapter Color Guard members who were in attendance at the Dana Elementary celebration on September 16, 2022.

Upcoming events for the Blue Ridge Color Guard include the following:

November 11, 2022, Veterans Day Program at the Transylvania County Courthouse

November 12, 2022, DAR-led Patriot Maybin Grave Marking at Mt. Olivet Cemetery 3582 Mt. Olivet Rd., Zirconia, NC.

December 10, 2022, Compatriot Padgett Grave Marking at Cool Springs Cemetery 382 W. Main St. Forest City, NC.

It is easy to see that the Blue Ridge Chapter is an active, energetic, busy chapter that is always looking for new members to help us reach our challenging goals for the recognition of the sacrifices our Patriots made for us to enjoy the freedoms we have today.
